Nestling in peaceful, picturesque countryside on the border of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, contemporary meets olde worlde in this 19th century traditional Welsh farmhouse which offers cosy, comfortable and relaxing
Bed and Breakfast in stylish, yet slightly rustic, characterful 
accommodation amid an oasis of calm and tranquility 
with the added luxury of five star cuisine.
 
The Peaceful Retreat is set in 7 acres of tranquil and idyllic surroundings with ponds, landscaped gardens, a bamboo gazebo, spanish style summerhouse with veranda and a multitude of seating
areas with interesting and far reaching views.
 
Situated just outside Llanfallteg in an elevated aspect overlooking the valley in which the award winning village is located, this boutique B&B lies in an unspoilt rural area surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, stunning colourful landscape and is just a short drive from the Preseli mountains
and the charming market town of Narberth.
 
 
Walks from our door allow you to do a circular walk or follow the bridle
path from our house to the village. From here the path continues along the River Taf. Along the way, you can call for a pint of real ale at the local pub, The Plash Inn which features in 'The Good Beer Guide' and 'The Hidden Places of Wales'.
 
 
Our rooms are all well appointed, luxuriously furnished and scrupulously clean and offer either a King or Superking size bed with superbly comfortable mattresses and pillows  with the added comfort of Egyptian cotton bedding.
They each have either an en suite or private bathroom providing
soft fluffy towels, bath robes and slippers.
In your room you will also find a welcome trug of red, white or sparkling wine, fresh fruit, homemade cookies and a selection of
handmade chocolates and fresh flowers.
Each room also has a Flatscreen TV with Freeview/DVD, a hairdryer,
toiletries, beverage tray and our own bottled water.
 
 
 
 We also have an intimate Superior Suite, which is perfect for a honeymoon or simply a romantic
break in Wales.
The bedroom is decked with colour washed wood in a relaxing 'Beach Hut' style, has a Superking size traditional wooden bed with egyptian cotton bedding, elegant
soft furnishings and
romantic lighting.
 
  
 
 
 
French doors lead onto
a private balcony
with traditional
wooden furniture and affords stunning views over the
beautiful grounds and colourful gardens.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The en suite has a state of the art
hydrojet steam shower with built in
subdued lighting and radio. 
It also offers a spacious dressing room.
You may also wish to enjoy the luxury of optional private dining in this suite .

stresses of our modern life.
Wake up at leisure in exclusive and
unique surroundings and enjoy a banquet of home cooked welsh breakfast, freshly prepared from local produce and served at a time that suits you. Or try a slice of our freshly baked 'Toast & Marmalade' Cake with butter!
 
 
 You are welcome to relax and enjoy morning coffee in the lounge, outside in the gazebo
overlooking a large pond which is home to a variety of wildlife, in the Japanese orchard which also has a pond stocked with
fish or in the Spanish style summerhouse with
sheltered decking.
We will be happy to provide
you with daily papers.
 
  
 
In the wintertime, you can also enjoy the comfort of relaxing in the lounge in front of the log burner. Afternoon teas are available with a choice of home made cakes including traditional Bara Brith, Welsh Cakes and Scones with 
homemade preserves & cream.
Or why not try our warm scones made with welsh cheddar and leeks, served with welsh 'brie' and homemade onion marmalade.
 
 
We have an outdoor Spa, a small gym and mountain bikes, all of which are available for your use. Or you may wish to enjoy a gentle stroll along
one of the many walks nearby or play croquet on the lawn. 
We also offer plenty of secure parking. 
 

You may wish to choose from our range of stress-beating treatments available in the comfort of your own room including Shiatzu, Reiki, hot stone and aromatherapy massage, reflexology, facials, manicures and pedicures.

 

The Peaceful Retreat is just fifteen minutes from the coast and is also surrounded by an abundance of places of interest including local farms 
which produce everything from cheese to chocolate and
paintings to hand made crafts.
 
 
However you decide to spend your well earned summer or winter break, at the end of each day, a choice of home
cooked evening meals are always 
available for you to enjoy. 
 
 
The combination of the cuisine, the elegance of the surroundings and the warmth of the hospitality means that one of the most beautiful
