This is no ordinary B&B. This is a warm, friendly house with comfortable beds. The food, the beautiful decor, the setting and the welcome were all exceptional. Sarah and Derrick ensured that I, my sister and our 84 year old mother were all made very welcome and nothing appeared to be too much trouble.......

We arrived at the Bwlchmelyn B&B for a three week rest,
after six months of travelling Europe and India.
Here through the doorway to the home of Sarah and Derrick we found the rest we so much needed, in the quiet country side of Wales...
a doorway blessed with the land’s own food, an outstretched sky,
air that fills the feet, and roads that go everywhere home...
a doorway where life is happy to be alive, characters flow in talking streams, old men sing, and myth leaks out of the ground...
a doorway where the earth is what it always was, and reminds
us who we once were and could once more be.
That said, to find these mysteries you must be willing to venture
out and allow these to unfold, as they will.
Just another blessing for us, that Sarah is a very talented cook and both she and Derrick so knowledgeable of the land, the people of interest to meet and what there is to be seen.
If you are fortunate you will be invited to listen to Derrick sing with the oldest Male Voice Choir in Wales!

What can we say? Absolutely fantastic! We loved our stay here and were welcomed with open arms. It has been absolutely brilliant, we have enjoyed every minute of it. We have stayed in a fair few B&B's over the years and must say that this one is by far the best.

What a joy to find somewhere that lives up to its name. This truly is a welcome oasis of tranquillity in the beautiful Welsh countryside that gave us the perfect space to unwind from our hectic lives. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and for the
entirety of our stay we felt cosseted and cared for.
The menu exceeded our expectations to the point where we were more than happy to eat in every evening and work our way through a
superb menu of what we would describe as ‘fine farmhouse dining’.
Sarah could give the best of them a run for their money.
It was quite a wrench to leave and we are already planning our next visit. I think we’ll book early to avoid disappointment.
