Programme of Events
Arrive on 23rd December for the 4-night package and on
24th December for the 3-night package.
Friday 23rd December 2011
You will be greeted with a warm glass of mulled wine and a
selection of cakes and scones.
Once you have settled into your Christmas surroundings,
join Derrick and Sarah for
a glass of Champagne in the lounge.
This evening Sarah will prepare you a four course candlelit dinner.
Christmas Eve – Saturday 24th December 2011
Relax, breakfast is served until 10.30am this morning.
Spend your day doing whatever you choose.
In the evening, join us for a glass of Sloe Gin Royale and canapés reception followed by a four-course candlelit dinner.
Christmas Day - Sunday 25th December 2011
A very Merry Christmas to you all!
Enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz followed by a traditional Welsh Breakfast.
After this you are invited to join your hosts on a short walk to the village pub to enjoy a complimentary drink with the locals.
Following your festive lunch is the chance to relax and unwind in front of a roaring fire, whilst listening to the Queen’s Speech or listening to the sounds of Whitland Male Voice Choir, the oldest Welsh Choir, with whom Derrick is a chorister.
Home made Christmas cake will be served to
those who are still a little peckish!
In the evening a light buffet supper will be served.
Boxing Day – Monday 26th December 2011
Breakfast is served until 11.30am. The day is then yours to enjoy.
For the energetic ones amongst us, explore one of the many local walks or take a stroll on one of the local beaches.
This evening join us for your four course candlelit dinner and bottle of wine per couple with our compliments.
Tuesday 27th December 2011
The final part of your Christmas break is a traditional Welsh Breakfast, before we wish you a fond farewell,
Iechyd Da a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda.

New Year Breaks at The Peaceful Retreat
Friday 30th December 2011
You will be greeted with a very warm welcome and a
traditional afternoon tea.
This evening Sarah will prepare and serve you with a
four course candlelit dinner.
Saturday 31st December – New Years Eve 2011
The day starts with a traditional Welsh breakfast served until 10.00am. For those who feel energetic, why not join one of your hosts for a guided walk around the village of Llanfallteg
or simply enjoy the day at your leisure.
On your return, enjoy a glass of mulled wine and
delicious homemade savouries.
This evening’s black tie celebrations begin with a champagne and canapé reception, followed by a six course dinner.
New Year’s Day – Sunday 1st January 2012
Breakfast is served until 11.30am. You may wish to go to the coast to witness the New Year's Day swim or even participate!
On your return, join us for a glass of Sloe Gin Royale.
This evening we will be serving you a four course candlelit dinner.
Monday 2nd January 2012
The final part of your New Year break is a traditional Welsh breakfast, before we wish you a fond farewell and
